Realtor Photoshoot Style Guide: Pre-Photoshoot Checklist
BASIC SET UP PREP:
- Light ring for phone with tri-pod
- Coffee Mug
- Compter/Laptop/Phone/Purse for props
- 3-4 outfit changes (neutral, solid prints are a great choice, but if you have personal style choices, feel free to show your personality!
- Invite a friend over to snap photos of you or use the self-timer camera function
LOCATION PREP:
- Natural indoor light (camera should be placed with window BEHIND IT, so you are facing the window)
- Clutter-free area (Ie. Kitchen Island, desk or table with chair
- Outdoor space, if possible (backyard, deck, garden, etc.) PRO TIP: find a shady spot! Bright sun is NOT good for photos
- PRO TIP: Ask a friend/family member to use a room in their home if yours isn’t a good fit for lighting/style
Photoshoot Style Guide: Realtor Shot List
PRO TIP: Vary your look – Smile, looking away, look directly at the camera, pretend to be smiling at someone off camera, laugh, look thoughtful, etc. Don’t be afraid to experiment!
- Sitting at a desk or table facing camera & looking away, looking at computer (take a lot of shots, varying your positioning)
- Side view sitting at desk, legs crossed, one leg up, smile, laugh, writing, typing
- Drinking coffee, holding coffee, working at computer
- Take multiple angles, talk on phone, lean, vary positions
- Closeups working at computer, hands on keyboard, fingers swiping phone, etc
- Standing and/or leaning against a wall or doorway
- Standing behind kitchen island, varying positions
- Standing in doorway of front door
- Write a thank you card, or writing in journal/planner sitting at your desk
- Photos with your pets and/or child
- Holding realtor supplies, notebook, tote bag, wearing real estate specific t-shirt

SIGNAGE:
- Agent holding signs or close up of sign (with house in background blurred) Signs: Coming soon, Open house, Sale Pending, Sold)
- Agent hanging sign on sign post and/or putting sign in ground
- Signs IN the car as well as agent taking them OUT of the car
- A few signs together on the ground
OPEN HOUSE:
- Holding your open house sign, or standing beside it
- Food displays next to welcome sign
- “Sign In” registry with pen
- Close up of booties in basket
- Agent or buyer putting on booties
- Agent talking to someone in kitchen or other room
KEY TAGS:
- Key tags in a lockbox
- Key tags hanging in the door lock
- Key tags being handed through the doorway
- Key tags on the counter, placed next to a gift basket and celebration card
- Close up of agent holding keys and tag

TESTIMONIAL PROPS:
- Agent holding T-prop in front of the house
